Rye Girls Varsity Tennis put Eastchester in the hutch on Thursday, taking the win 5 – 2.
“Despite the intimidating powerful top two singles players from Eastchester, Rye managed to sweep the doubles and sophomore Tori Hobbins put an exclamation point on the 5-2 team win with a gutsy 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 victory at 3rd singles,” said Rye Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Tony Campbell.
The Gemstones are now 2 – 0. The team travels to Pelham on Monday for a 4:30pm match.
