Francis (Frank) Jeremiah Bisceglia was born on May 1, 1915, in Rye, New York, to parents Arcangela Ratigliano (37) and Jeremiah Bisceglia (44). He had an older brother named Leonard and two sisters named Elizabeth and Frances. The Bisceglia family resided at 11 Florence Avenue in Rye and were active members of the Church of the Resurrection. Frank attended Harrison High School.

During World War II, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He commenced his service on April 15, 1942, and underwent training at Keesler Field, MS, before being deployed overseas on January 14, 1943. Serving as a corporal, Frank dedicated 25 months to the African and European theaters.

Stationed abroad, Frank played a vital role in a supply and transportation unit. His outstanding service earned him the Good Conduct Medal and European Theatre Ribbon.

In 1942, Frank married Marita Curtin, and together they raised six children during their enduring union.

Frank spent his entire life in Westchester County, New York, until his relocation to Nashville in 1992. Having retired in 1980 as the President of Bisceglia Plastering Corporation—a company founded by his father in 1908—he actively contributed to the Knights of Columbus and engaged in local politics, serving on various boards and commissions.

Following a prolonged illness, Frank J. Bisceglia passed away at his Nashville residence on April 21, 1998, at the age of 83.

Surviving him at the time of his passing were his devoted wife of 56 years, Marita Curtin, along with their six children: Marita-Jane Brown (Hoit), Francis X (Margaret), Elizabeth Anne, Clare, Gerard T. (Anne), and Michael C. (Maura) Bisceglia. He also left behind thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a surviving sister.

A Mass of the Resurrection was solemnized on Friday, April 24, 1998, at ten o’clock at St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church, situated at 6401 Harding Road in Nashville. The celebrant of the service was Bishop James Niedergeses, joined by Monsignor George Rohling, Reverend Michael Johnston, and Reverend Stephen Gideon.
