That Right!; $4.8 Million to Keep It Clean: Rye City Council Agenda for Wednesday, January 24, 2024

The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 is out. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended. The Council will convene at 5:30pm and will adjourn into Executive Session to discuss pending litigation, personnel matters and pending contracts.

  • That Right! Presentation of Human Rights Commission Awards
  • $4.8 Million to Keep It Clean. [see previous story] Award Contract 2023-05 Sewer Main Spot Repair with CIPP Lining Project.
  • $80K for Concrete Blocks. Award Contract 2024-02 Modular Block Retaining Wall for Salt Shed (materials only).
  • Open Mic. Members of the public may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
  • Boo!, Eat, Run Off the Bird: CONSENT AGENDA
    • a) Consideration of a request from the Recreation Department for permission to close a section of Purchase Street for the 71st Annual Celebration of the Halloween Window Painting Event on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
    • b) Consideration of a request by the Recreation Department to hold the Annual Food Truck Festival Saturday, September 7, 2024.
    • c) Consideration of a request by the Recreation Department to hold the 47th Annual Turkey Run on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 6:30pm.
