The Rye Free Reading Room is offering Roku players with paid streaming services for loan exclusively to Rye library cardholders. Availability starts next Monday, February 26, 2024.

Each Roku stick has an assortment of services on it – some have Apple TV+ and Hulu and Disney, others have Apple TV+ and Netflix and Prime, and others have Apple TV+ and Disney and Prime. Each stick also has Freevee and Tubi and other tv show services. The Roku device connects to any TV and allows you to experience streaming at home or on the go.

“As streaming services have shifted away from physical media releases, we strive to connect users with the content that they would normally have found on our shelves,” said Rye Free Reading Room Director Chris Shoemaker. “These devices are another way we can continue to meet the changing needs of our community.”

The Roku 4K Streaming Sticks are available for a 7-day circulation period. Patrons can check out a player at the front desk with their library card or reserve a player online.
