Girls Varsity Softball Glazed by Pelham
Rye Girls Varsity Softball was glazed by Pelham on Saturday, falling in the away game 5 – 13.
“We played a solid game, but Pelham came up with some clutch hits and we couldn’t respond,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “We fought to the end, but came up short.”
Game highlights included:
- Millie Brooks was 3 fir 4 with 2 R and a stolen base
- Tessa Labovitz, Clara Meszkat, and Penelope Gilmore each had a hit
The team is 4 – 5. The Gemstones host Yorktown on Saturday at 11:00am.
