Girls Varsity Softball Shucked by the Huskers
Rye Girls Varsity Softball was shucked by the Yorktown Huskers on Saturday, coming up 12 kernels short at the away game 5 – 17.
“Tough game,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “We weren’t able to make enough plays and it cost us in the end.”
Game highlights included:
- Clara Meszkat 2 for 3 with 2 Rbi and a run scored
- Ava Cross 2 for 2 with an Rbi and a run scored
- Hana Murati 1 for 2
- Caroline Joyce 1 for 2 with a 2B and a run scored
The season is now 4 – 6. Next up the Garnets host Nanuet on Monday at 4:30pm.
