Boys Varsity Baseball MVP: Shepherd Griffiths

Rye Varsity Baseball head coach Michael Bruno has announced his MVP for the 2024 season: Shepherd Griffiths.
“Shepherd has had a tremendous three year career for the Rye Varsity Baseball team,” Bruno told MyRye.com. “[He] has been a tremendous leader on and of the field and has always set a great example for the younger players in the program.”
Griffiths earned All-Section and Diamond Nine recognition for his performance this past spring. He became a team Captain, and Bruno noted how Griffiths “continued to put the team first and his accomplishments second.” Those accomplishments were not small either, as the senior RHP was one of the best players not only on his team, but in the entire Section. He will attend Wake Forest University next fall.
