Rye Varsity Softball Head Coach Alex Tejera has announced his MVP for the 2024 season: Millie Brooks.
“Brooks is our clear MVP for this softball season due to her unparalleled dedication, skill, and leadership on and off the field,” Tejera told MyRye.com. “Not only does Millie consistently deliver outstanding performances during games, but she also inspires and uplifts the entire team with her positive attitude and unwavering commitment to excellence. Her leadership both on and off the field sets the standard for our team and fosters a culture of unity and success.”
Tejera also made sure to point out Brooks’ versatility, playing multiple positions on the diamond and excelling everywhere, plus at the plate for the Garnets. To him, this was an easy choice.
