Garnets Volleyball Back in the Win Column After Sweep of Henry Hudson
After a small hiccup in recent games, the Rye Varsity Volleyball Team came away with a convincing win on Wednesday, defeating the Henry Hudson Sailors 25-17, 25-19, 25-18 (3-0). Rye was in control of the game from start to finish to record their fourth win of the 2024 season.
Fresh off winning Rye’s Athlete of the Week, Ashley Dehmer once again paced the Garnets with 13 assists. She has led the team in that stat in all six games this season. On the flip side, Lexi Kessner recorded 13 kills to lead Rye, which is the first time she has done that this year.
Other notable statistical performances include Phoebe Greto with 8 kills, Valeria Medina and Anna Nolasco with 7 kills apiece, and Erin Ball with 5 kills and 3 blocks.
Rye (4-2) is back in action on Friday, September 20, at Blind Brook at 4:30pm.
