The Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swimming and Diving Team kicked off their 2024 fall season with a convincing victory over the White Plains Tigers. The girls won all three relays en route to a 103-81 decision to move to 1-0 on the year.

Ayana Ite claimed victory in the 200 meter freestyle. Sophia Lord clinched first in the 200 meter individual medley (IM) and 100 meter fly. Kate Chesley (100M backstroke) and Kayla Lombardo (100M breaststroke) also pulled off individual wins to further cushion the score for Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook.

Two swimmers did more than just win their individual races: Chesley qualified for the sectional championship meet in the 100M backstroke, while Lord qualified for the sectional championship meet in the 100 fly thanks to her performance.

The team gets a few days off before their next meet against Horace Greeley at 4:30pm on Friday, September 13, at Hommocks Pool in Mamaroneck.
