Honoring 9/11 Flight Attendants, “Paulie’s Push” Walks Through Rye

Contributed: Rye PD.)He is a retired United Airlines flight attendant who is pushing a beverage cart from Boston to Ground Zero New York for the anniversary of 9-11 to honor the flight crews that perished that morning. Paul “Paulie” Veneto walked down the Boston Post Road and Cedar Street in Rye on Saturday morning on his way to New York City and Ground Zero. His walk this year is to honor those on American Flight 11. Vento has been through Rye before.

Paulie’s Push 4: American 11 rounds out Paulie’s tributes of all four of the flights hijacked on September 11, 2001. The Push began the weekend of August 18th with a small sendoff in the Boston Public Garden 9/11 Memorial. The route follows a similar route to the original Push, heading through Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York before arriving at Ground Zero in downtown Manhattan in time for September 11th.
