77 Year Old Arrested for Shoplifting $58 of Halloween Decorations
A 77 year old woman was arrested by Rye PD on Friday, October 18, 2024 for stealing $58 dollars of Halloween decorations from the Dabney Lee store on Purchase Street in downtown Rye.
On September 26, 2024 at approximately 3:00 pm, Rye PD Officers responded to Dabney Lee, the retail store located 31 Purchase Street, on a report of a larceny in the past. An investigation determined, a female, identified as Ann Marie Cunningham entered the store, stole merchandise, valued at $58.00, passing all points of purchase without paying. The items taken were Halloween decorations – a Mini Surprise Ball Mummy and a Deluxe Surprise Ball Black Cat.
On October 18, 2024, City of Rye Police Department arrested Ann Marie Cunningham, age 77, of New York, NY for petit larceny, after she turned herself in to Rye Detectives. She was processed and released on her own recognizance with an appearance ticket returnable to the Rye City Court on Tuesday October 29, 2024 at 9:00 am.
