Otis told MyRye.com “I appreciate the strong support of the voters of the Sound Shore communities I serve and am excited to continue breaking new ground to win results for schools, local governments, and families and provide leadership on the statewide issues of importance where I have made a difference for Westchester.”

“I knew this would be a tough race, going against an incumbent, who’s been in office, unchallenged, for over a decade,” said the GOP challenger Katie Manger, who helps run the local Rye GOP and like Otis, lives in Rye. “I believe the final results show however, there’s a demand for a conservative voice in our region. I hope this will bring renewed energy, and members, to our local party. For now, I will continue my work there as Vice Chair, towards a more restrained and accountable government. I’m so humbled and grateful to the many voters, who put their faith in me and I congratulate my opponent on his win.”
