Somers Beats Rye for Class A Crown 35-21 Final

After a thrilling, storybook and undefeated season, the Rye Boys Varsity Football Garnets fell to the Somers Tuskers on Friday evening, November 15, 2024. On the the neutral ground of Mahopac High School, Somers beat Rye 35 – 21 for the Class A crown, after three turnovers allowed Somers to leap ahead. All three turnovers – two fumbles and one interception – led to Somers scores.

“I thought our players played their hearts out, so I’m really proud of them,” said Garnet Football Coach Dino Garr. “I want to shout-out all our players especially our seniors for their dedication and commitment to our program. We had a wonderful year.”
