In Memory: Theresa Ann Iverson, Age 92
Theresa Ann Iverson, a beacon of love and faith, peacefully passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on April 28, 1932, in Port Chester, New York, she was the daughter of Harry and Violet (Sarachino) Burlone. Theresa spent the vast majority of her life as a cherished resident of Rye, where she cultivated a family and community imbued with her kindness and caring spirit.
Theresa, affectionately known to many as Terry, was a graduate of Rye High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and a foundation for the future. Her professional life was spent as the office manager at Robert Iverson Plumbing, where her exceptional organizational skills and warm, gracious demeanor made her a beloved figure. Theresa had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family, a trait that endeared her to all who knew her.
But it was in her home, surrounded by the love of her family, where Theresa truly flourished. She and her devoted husband, Robert Iverson Sr., known as Pops, shared an extraordinary 70 years of marriage. Their bond was one of unwavering love, resilience, and joy–a partnership that stood as a testament to their deep commitment to one another. Together, they raised two children, Susan Iverson-Hine and Robert Iverson, Jr., creating a warm and nurturing environment that will forever be remembered.
Terry is survived by her devoted husband Robert Iverson Sr. (Pops) of Port Chester, NY formerly of Rye, NY; daughter Susan Iverson- Hine of Port Chester, NY; son Robert Iverson, Jr and Jodi Grant of Harrison, NY; daughter in law Karen Iverson of Mamaroneck, NY; grandchildren: Danielle Iverson and Robert Iverson III of Mamaroneck, NY; brother- in -law James Rinaldi of Enfield, CT and nieces Gina Rinaldi and Elena Montani (Christian) of Boston, MA. Theresa is predeceased by brother and sister-in-law Harry (Red) and Terry Burlone; her sister, Ann Rinaldi of Enfield, CT; and son- in- law Howie Hine of Port Chester, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
