The Rye Girls Basketball Team continued to roll on Thursday night (January 30), as the Garnets took down Byram Hills 61-36 in a dominant home victory. The team has now won three games in a row after starting the season on an eleven game heater, and remain perfect in league play.

Head Coach Margo Hackett called the game “A complete team league win vs. Byram Hills.” The Garnets led throughout, including 24-4 after the first quarter of play.

Phoebe Greto once again led Rye in scoring with 16 points, followed by Paige Tepedino with 14. Kathleen Denvir added seven, including a three-point play off an offensive rebound in the second quarter, while Stella Maresca and Ella Poole chipped in six and four points respectively.

Rye (14-1) is right back in action in a rescheduled game against the Barack Obama School for Social Justice today, Friday 1/31, at 6:15pm. The contest was originally scheduled for early in the season but was delayed due to December snow. It takes place in the Rye HS gym to kickstart the weekend. Watch it here.
