Ward Joins Council as Newest Member
James Ward was sworn in on Wednesday evening as the City of Rye’s newest City Council member.
Introducing Ward, Rye Mayor Josh Cohn said “I have always found him to be very, very perceptive, intelligent and a pleasure to work with so I am particularly pleased to be welcoming him to City Council this evening.”
Ward was then sworn in by Rye City Court Judge Valerie Livingston. Rev. Monsignor Donald M. Dwyer delivered the invocation and Robin Latimer sung God Bless America to conclude the ceremony. Ward and the rest of City Council then immediately began a regularly scheduled council meeting.
