Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Triumphs at Championship Meet in Yonkers

The Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swim and Dive Team secured multiple victories at the Section 1 Conference 2 Championship Meet this Friday and Saturday, January 31-February 1, 2025.

“Overall, the Rye-Blind Brook Swim and Dive team had an amazing meet,” Head Coach Katie Konopka told MyRye.com in her postgame report. “The highlight of the meet was the 200M Free relay of Kieran Moran, Michael Ladyzhensky, Nick Stocks, and Wilson Redd winning the event with a best time.”

Here are the full meet results:

Swimming

  • 200 Free Relay team: Kieran Moran, Michael Ladyzhensky, Nick Stocks, and Wilson Redd won 1st place.
  • 200 Medley Relay team: Kieran Moran, Filip Glitterstam, George Papaioannou, and Wilson Redd placed 5th.
  • 200 Free: Nick Stocks placed 7th. Vlad Moscaliuc, Michael Hamlet, and Austin Frankel all went best times.
  • 200 IM: Kieran Moran placed 2nd, Michael Ladyzhensky 8th, Filip Glitterstam 11th, and George Papaioannou 13th.
  • 500 Free: Jackson Rindahl and Henri Von Homeyer went best times.
  • 100 Free: Nick Stocks and Michael Ladyzhensky placed 11th and 12th, respectively. Austin Frankel and Sami Jazbeh both went best times
  • 50 Free : Wilson Redd placed 4th
  • 100 Fly: Wilson Reed placed 3rd. 
  • 100 Backstroke: Vlad Moscaliuc and Jackson Rindahl went best times.
  • 100 Breaststroke: Kieran Moran 4th place, Filip Glitterstam 12th place, Sami Jazbeh 30th place, and Jonathan Rosenbluth 32nd place.
  • 400 Free Relay team: Nick Stocks, George Papaioannou, Filip Glitterstam, and Michael Ladyzhensky placed 6th.

Diving

Finn Hansen placed 3rd at the Section 1 Conference 2 Diving Championship Meet.
