One of the 30-second Super Bowl advertisements from Super Bowl 59 between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs featured Martha Stewart as the primary actor for Skechers, a comfort shoe brand. The commercial was filmed in Rye at the Wainwright House on Milton Point.

“Although the scene was shot at the front entrance of Wainwright House, production activities occurred throughout the property,” Bob Manheimer of the Wainwright House told MyRye.com. “For example, Martha Stewart had the use of Fonrose Cottage on the property between her takes on the set.”

The advertisement features a spry-looking Stewart bouncing around in a new pair of Skechers slip-on sneakers, with the Wainwright House in the background. Stewart herself did not dance – at 83 years old, she contributed her face and body, and a stunt double did the acting. A production team used CGI to seamlessly put the ad together.

“Filming at Wainwright House provides a unique and picturesque backdrop for various productions,” Manheimer continued. “It is interesting to see the transformation process and the behind-the-scenes efforts that go into creating captivating visual content.”
