There were no lassos at this rodeo.

The annual Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Bike Rodeo, put on by the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Committee and the Rye PD at Rye High School parking lot, drew about 100 children on Sunday, April 6th. Led by Rye PD Officer JP Anjo, members of Rye PD guided kids through a series of fun and educational bike safety stations, with support from enthusiastic volunteers from Rye High School and members of the Rye Tri Club.

Danny’s Cycles provided free bike checks, ensuring everyone’s wheels were ready to roll, and the Pack 2 Cub Scouts joined in to add to the excitement. The event was supported by the Rye City School District. The Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Committee is looking to host this successful event annually going forward.
