Baseball Defeats Pelham 6-2, Wins Fourth Straight

The Garnets Baseball Team won their fourth consecutive game on Thursday, April 24, defeating Pelham 6-2. Rye remains perfect since returning home from Florida, and once again their pitching was strong in their latest victory.
Lucas London started and threw 3.2 innings of two run baseball, striking out four Pelicans. Peter Davies relieved him to earn the win, getting ten outs (four Ks) and only ceding two hits.
At the plate, Luke Ontaneda went 2-3 with three runs batted in. Jackson Pineault, Jamie Morris, and Nolan Hutson all recorded RBIs as well. Morris went 2-4 with three of Rye’s six runs. Hutson and Charlie Rupp both doubled.
Rye (8-3) gets the weekend off before their next game, a home one against Edgemont on Monday, April 28. First pitch is set for 4:30pm at Disbrow Park.
