Girls Golf Handles Rival Huskies, 251-274
In a big rivalry match, the Rye Girls Varsity Golf team came up with a huge win against the Harrison Huskies on Tuesday, April 22. The Garnets crushed their crosstown foes 251-274, winning by more than twenty strokes on the afternoon.
”Elle Ridley had a strong first match as a freshman,” Head Coach Rich Savage told MyRye.com following the victory. “Captains Laeticia Clauss and Matilda Glitterstam displayed strong leadership for the Garnets.”
Phoebe Lee was the lone medalist in the match to help Rye achieve a very solid team score of 251.
Rye (2-1) is back at home once again for their next match on Thursday, April 24. The Garnets welcome Bronxville to Rye Golf Club for a 3:20 tee time.
