The Rye Baseball team won their fifth game of the last six on Wednesday, April 23, shutting out Bronxville 8-0. The Garnets have now won their first three games after the team trip to Disney, including two straight against the Broncos in the last two days.

Jack Sheridan spun a gem on the mound, throwing a complete game shutout with only four hits allowed. He struck out just two Broncos but induced weak contact throughout the game. He followed in the footsteps of Clayton McCarthy, who tossed a shutout yesterday. Rye defeated Bronxville twice using only two pitchers.

Offensively, Nolan Hutson led the Garnets with two hits, one triple, two runs batted in, and three stolen bases. Jamie Morris also tripled and Charlie Rupp also drove in two runs in the middle of the lineup for Head Coach Michael Bruno. Michael Talbott, Ben Fineberg, and Luke Ontaneda all had RBIs as well to round out the offense.

Rye improves to 7-3 on the season. They next play tomorrow, Thursday 4/24, as they host Pelham for a 4:30pm start.
