Tuskers Ride Herd on Girls Softball

On Monday the Tuskers of Somers rode herd on Rye Girls Varsity Softball. The elephants delivered a tough stomping, taking the away game 12 – 0 in five innings. The few bright spots for the Garnets included:

• Clara Meszkat with a 2B in the top of the 5th inning. Her 2nd hit of the game. She recorded 2 of the team’s 3 hits.
• Olivia Hodes got a infield single for her first varsity Hit.
• On pitching, Boyle (W) and P.Gilmore (L)

The team drops to 0 – 5 for the season. Next up the Garnets will play in a series at Westlake High School on Saturday, April 26 starting at 9:30am.
