The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 is out. The Council will convene at 5:30pm and adjourn into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

Let’s check the batting order and highlights from the 9 agenda items.

  • Open Mic. Members of the public may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
  • Greg’s Grist > Brian’s Bran. Report of the (New, Interim) City Manager.
  • Down By the Riverside. Presentation by Christine Siller, Executive Director of the Friends of the Rye Nature Center. a) Resolution authorizing the Friends of the Rye Nature Center to apply for a construction grant through the Long Island Sound Futures Fund (LISFF) for the Blind Brook Riparian Restoration Project. and b) Resolution authorizing the referral of the Nature Center pavilion project to the Board of Architectural Review.
  • Do Your Homework. Authorize payment of the balance of the 2024/2025 Rye Neck Union Free School District taxes collected by the City to the School District.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 6:30pm.
