The Rye Boys Lacrosse team got back on track with a substantial win on Tuesday, May 13, discarding the Yorktown Huskers 19-7. The Garnets outshot the Huskers 38-15 en route to the comfortable victory.

Sophomore Henry Gilroy broke out with five goals in the win, adding an assist for a six-point game. Will Niejadlik also scored six points on four goals and two assists, and Tucker Hess and Tyler McDermott both chipped in with four points apiece. Matt Giannetti (2), Charlie Brady (2), Thomas Goldszer, and Carson Miller all scored for Rye, while Nigel Strazzini and Chris Iuliano each had an assist.

Elsewhere, Ty Ramachandran made seven saves and Sam Lamonte two for the split victory. Wilson Redd dominated in the faceoff circle with sixteen wins on 26 tries (62% win rate).

Rye (11-3) is back in the win column after a brief hiccup against LaSalle on Saturday. Their next regular season game is a big one – a home bout against Harrison on Thursday, May 15.
