Girls Golf Wins Again to Reach Double Digit Victories

The Rye Girls Golf team continued its torrent pace in 2025 with another huge win on Tuesday, May 13, outshooting Harrison 252-278. The Garnets picked up win #10 one day after clinching spot #1 in league play, and did so in unforgiving weather at Harrison Meadows.

“Rye battled against the difficult conditions of rain and wind to take the match over Harrison,” Head Coach Rich Savage told MyRye.com after the contest. “Captains Matilda and Laeticia led the way for the Garnets.”

As has been the case all season, Matilda Glitterstam and Laeticia Clauss rose to the occasion to pace a Rye starting five that shot 26 strokes better than their opposing Huskies. With the victory, the team remains perfect since a close defeat on April 8.

The last chance anyone has to beat Rye (10-1) before the regular season concludes is tomorrow, Wednesday 5/14, as Rye hosts Bronxville for the finale. The match is a rescheduling from an earlier-season cancellation.
