Long List of Medalists for Track and Field on Saturday

The Rye Varsity Track and Field Team took to Irvington on Saturday, May 10, for the Rasbeck Relays. The Garnets shined with fourteen total medalist-winning relay teams, eleven of which came from the girls. The list of all the top-three finishing teams from Saturday is as follows:

It was quite the day for the Garnets, as eight of their 14 medals were first place finishes.
Alongside the success at Irvington, some of Rye’s best athletes went to Loucks Field in White Plains for the other half of a split squad day. Justin McCarthy, Aidan Schmidt, Ben Truman, Sebastian Lewis, and Rocklan Boisseau competed there for the boys, with Boisseau putting forth the best performance in the javelin event, coming in 2nd. Lily Oberbannscheidt and Erin Ball represented the girls side.
Rye’s next meet is a small meet tomorrow, Tuesday 5/13, at Edgemont High School. The contest starts at 4:10pm.
