Road Closures In Rye Sunday for Marathon Race

There will be a series of road closures in Rye on Sunday, May 18, 2025 due to the Soul RYEders Half Marathon and 5K foot race  being held from 7:30am to 11:00am. Prior to and during the race, multiple roadways will be closed to vehicular traffic. The race will begin and finish at Rye Playland, and utilize Playland Parkway, Midland Avenue, Grace Church Street, Forest Avenue, Van Wagenen Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue.

Rye PD is warning local homeowners that residences, businesses, clubs or places of worship in the area will have limited access during the race event. In its notice, the PD said “We will have officers along the race route to ensure the safety of participants. Officers will attempt to provide vehicular access to locations along the race route, but precedence will be given to the runners.”
