The Rye Baseball Team walked off the Croton-Harmon Tigers on Tuesday, May 6, earning their eighth consecutive victory. Rye did not score runs at will like they have at times throughout the season, but found a new way to win via a 2-1 score.

Lucas London drove in Luke Ontaneda twice, once in the fifth inning and again with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the last-chance win. He bounced a 3-1 pitch through the left side of a drawn-in infield to secure the win in a home game played at Granite Knolls Park in Yorktown.

Jack Sheridan spun a gem with five scoreless innings on the hill with two strikeouts. Peter Davies blew the save but earned the win with two innings of one-run baseball. He is now 4-1 on the season.

Rye (12-3) has won eight in a row since starting 4-3. They have their final home game on Thursday, May 10, as they host Byram Hills at 4:30pm at Disbrow Field.
