The Rye Softball team put together one of their best efforts of the 2025 season on Tuesday night, defeating Pelham 13-0 for a convincing league win. Rye improved to 4-4 in league play and snapped a three-game losing skid in the process with the run-rule victory.
Rye’s offense was aided by plenty of walks from Pelham pitching and some mistakes in the field. No Garnets had multiple hits, although Penelope Gilmore, Ava Rollano, and Ava Cross all reached twice with one hit and one hit by pitch or walk. Clara Meszkat and Reese McGill both went 1-2 with a run and RBI, while Gaby McGuire also singled in the victory.
Rye (5-10-1, 4-4) hosts Ursuline on Thursday, May 15, at 4:30pm in their next game to wrap up their current three-game homestand.
