On Thursday, Rye PD arrested a 24 year old man on charges of domestic violence.

Rye PD responded to a residence on Chestnut Street in Rye (between Orchard Avenue and  and Central Avenue) on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 1:20pm for a reported domestic dispute. When officers interviewed the victim, she told officers that her boyfriend had attacked her and fled for the Metro North train station in Rye. The male was found by officers at the train station several minutes later and taken into custody.

The male, identified as Isaiah P. Greene, age 24, from Yonkers, was transported to Rye Police headquarters and processed. Greene was arraigned in Rye City Court and issued an order of protection. Greene was transported to the Westchester County Correctional Facility where he is being held on $500 cash bail. He is due back in Rye City Court on Tuesday July 8, 2025 at 9:00am.

At the completion of the investigation, Greene was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing – Class A Misdemeanor; Criminal Contempt 2nd – Class A Misdemeanor; and Harassment 2nd – Violation. Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
