
According to a new study, Rye is the second wealthiest suburb in the United States, with a reported mean income of $421,259.
The city was beaten for the #1 spot by Scarsdale that boasts a reported mean income of $601,193. The study was conducted by GOBankingRates that analyzed suburbs with at least 5,000 households to find the wealthiest suburbs.
Other New York metro area suburbs in the top 50 are Tenafly, NY (#26, $306,103), Summit, NJ (#28, $304,408), Westfield, NJ (#33, $297,367), Greenwich, CT (#34, $297,081), Ridgewood, NJ (#41, $288,861) and Dix Hills (#46, $270,581).
