The Rye City School District announced 22 new administrators, teachers, and staff members ahead of the 2025-2026 school year. Of the 22 additions, there are two new Milton School teachers.

Perkins comes to Milton School from the Brookside Elementary School in Norwalk, CT, where she spent the last four years as a second-grade teacher and as a second-grade general education co-teacher. Before working at Brookside, she was a fourth-grade Co-Teacher Resident at Side by Side Charter School, also in Norwalk. She has worked as a bilingual teaching assistant at Fairhaven Middle School in New Haven, Ridge Road Elementary School in North Haven, and La Paz Community School in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. Perkins has a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, an M.A. in Teaching, Elementary Education, and an M.S. in Special Education, all from Quinnipiac University.

Dr. Autera-Douglas comes to Milton School from Purchase Elementary School in Harrison where she has served as school psychologist for the past four years. Previously, she spent four years as a school psychologist and CSE (Committee on Special Education) chairperson at the Orchard School in Yonkers, N.Y. Autera-Douglas has a B.A. in Psychology from Manhattan University, an M.A. in Educational Psychology from Kean University, and a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical and School Psychology, also from Kean University.
