The Rye Field Hockey team furthered their torrent pace to begin the 2025 season on Thursday, September 11, demolishing Harrison 6-1. The Garnets finally ceded their first goal of the season, but added six on the offensive end for a blowout victory.

Beau Whaling and Liv Prata both potted two goals to lead the charge, followed by Issy Mann (one goal, three points) and Kaitlyn Coyne (one goal). Kira Woolsey and Sienna Myers each chipped in an assist as well as Rye scored at least six for the third straight contest.

The play that effectively sealed the game came in the second half, as Rye’s Alex DellaSalla made an incredible defensive save on the goal line. After Chloe Holden made the initial stop, DellaSalla blocked the follow-up chance with a remarkably-timed maneuver.

The Garnets (3-0) have won their first three league games by a combined score of 21-1. Their next test is a game under the lights of Nugent Stadium tomorrow, Saturday 9/13, at 7:00pm. Rye welcomes rival Mamaroneck into town as they look for their fourth consecutive win.
