The Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swim and Dive team pushed their season-opening win streak to four meets, as they defeated Bronxville-Tuckahoe 97-87 on Friday, September 26. The team continues to find ways to win in the new combined league, and now sit at 4-0 for the 2025 campaign.
“The divers had a strong start to the meet with Lucie Megret placing first, Claire Biddle placing third, and Zoe Lopez placing 4th in the 1M diving,” Head Coach Katie Konopka told MyRye.com.
The divers’ efforts were complemented by several key swim performances. Claire McGlynn (100M butterfly), Charlotte Tait (500M freestyle), Kate Chesley (200M individual medley and 100M backstroke), and Sophie Boyle (200M free and 100M breaststroke) all earned first place points in their respective events. McGlynn also placed second in the 200M IM behind Chesley, as Rye picked up key points in almost every single event.
In other strong showings, Rye Neck Senior Scarlett Colombini had a season best time in the 100 Fly. Katie Weidinger had a great 50M free race as well, posting a new season best time.
Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook (4-0) travels to Marymount’s pool on Monday, September 29, as they visit SHEDI in search of their fifth consecutive win. The meet begins at 5:00pm.
