
The Rye Volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking loss on Thursday, September 11, dropping their match against Mamaroneck 3-2. The Garnets led 2-1 after three sets, but watched the Tigers take over the game and come away with the home victory.
The lengthy match allowed for several players to accrue exceptional marks in counting stats, such as Amelie Modesto’s 38 assists. The starting setter also chipped in three kills, six aces, and seven digs for her second consecutive strong game.
Lexi Kessner (14) and Phoebe Greto (11) both reached double-digits in kills, followed closely behind by Sall Moerschen with eight. On defense, libero Emma Lunstead recorded 24 kills, three assists, and three service aces.
