The Rye Volleyball team bounced back from their last loss to Horace Greeley to defeat John Jay-Cross River in three sets on Tuesday, October 14. The final line led 25-19, 25-19, 25-17, as the Garnets took care of business on the road against the Wolves.
Emma Lunstead shined with 22 digs (7.3 per set, well above her season average) and one service ace. Amelie Modesto notched 24 assists and four aces, also digging out nine balls for the near-double-double. Phoebe Greto paced the offense with 9 kills and 2 blocks – those two blocks were second to Andrey Campbell, who stepped up to lead Rye with three. This marked the first game in which Campbell has led the Garnets in blocks all season.
