The Rye Art Center raised more than $50,000 during their annual Ladies Comedy Night on Thursday, November 6, their most successful installment to date. Nearly 300 guests attended in support of the center’s mission to make the arts accessible to everyone through scholarships and community outreach, which was hosted by Kim Berns.
“The energy in the room was extraordinary,” said Alli West, Director of Development at The Rye Arts Center. “To see so many women, artists, professionals, mothers, neighbors, come together to celebrate creativity and give back so generously was profoundly inspiring. It’s a reminder of the power of connection and shared purpose.”
The comedy night was held at Community Synagogue of Rye and featured comedians Olivia Barbulescu, Nancy O’Connor, Nancy Witter, and Maureen Langan.
