The Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swim and Dive team’s season came to an official end on Saturday, November 22, as their four best competed in the State tournament in Rochester, New York. The team sent Kate Chesley, Clare McGlynn, Sophie Boyle, and Grayson Findlay for the championship meet, with Chesley competing thrice.

“The swimmers had an amazing meet at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association State Championships this past weekend,” Head Coach Katie Konopka told MyRye.com. “The state championships was a great way to end a very successful fall swim season.”

Rye High School’s Kate Chesley placed 4th in the 100-yard backstroke and 31st in the 200-yard Individual Medley (IM) in her final solo events of the year. She also competed as part of the 200M free relay team alongside Sophie Boyle, Graydson Findlay, and Clare McGlynn, which placed 15th in the state.

Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook had finished their first year in the merged league 7-1, and now get to celebrate four of their most celebrated swimmers after their strong showings all season, all the way into states.
