Happy holidays from MyRye.com.

The year 2026 will mark our 20th anniversary. We will enter the year with the biggest readership in our history and nearly 12,000 stories published about Rye since our inception.

This year brought an even higher velocity of our daily news coverage (reminder to sign-up for our FREE daily newsletter) – from city government to local nonprofits to Rye schools and sports to real estate to police and fire to local business to local environmental issues to the people of Rye and much more.

We expanded our sports coverage (again) and added more coverage of land use and the planning commission. We created features to showcase the work of painters and photographers who capture Rye in their work. We added a Friday Birds of Rye feature to remind us of the special creatures and places that need our attention and care.

We continue to embrace the use of AI when we believe it can enhance and extend our impact. We will continue to identify and explain when we are using this technology and we always welcome your feedback. We also made a bigger effort to reach each of you where you are – on our website, but also on email (another reminder to sign-up for our FREE daily newsletter) and social media via our Instagram, Facebook and X channels.

We are thankful for:

  • Our advertisers. Got Rye? We do. The best read local news, the biggest local audience. We need more of you, and we can deliver an engaged and dedicated audience. When you see a local business supporting us, give them props. Are you a local business that is looking to reach more people in Rye? Get in touch.
  • Our writers. General assignment writers Amelie Coghlan, Beatrice Larzul, Devan Patel and Tucker Smith. Sports writer Charlie Morris. Garnet football columnist Steve “The OG” Feeney and Holding Court Columnist Judge Joe Latwin. Your work is so very appreciated. Are you curious enough to be one of our writers? Get in touch.
  • Our interns. 2026 will be our sixth year offering editorial, photography and marketing internships to local high school and college students. The program provides a structured program with guest speakers and real world experience. Curious? Get in touch.

We love hearing from you. Thanks for sending your tips, comments, news items and feedback. We are grateful for the trust you continue to put in MyRye.com.

Happy holidays.
