The Rye Girls Basketball team completed a four-game road trip sweep on Wednesday, December 17, taking down Horace Greeley 60-32. The league win pushes Rye to 4-0 to start the 2025-26 season, with all four victories coming on the road, and with their victory over the Quakers being their third blowout.
“Big league win… Phoebe Greto had an impressive game, scoring 27 points for us,” Head Coach Margo Hackett told MyRye.com. Greto scored the first four points of the game, and owned the paint all night long against an outsized and outmatched Greeley defense.
Frankie Chiaravalle scored 14 points to rank second on the Garnets and Charlotte Storz had 13 points right behind her. With so many quality scoring options on any given night, Rye’s offense stands as one of the most balanced in the entire section.
The Garnets (4-0) host their home opener on Friday, December 21, as they welcome Eastchester to the RHS gym. The game is the 2nd Annual Tiffany O’Toole game and begins at 7:00pm. Rye will play with a greater cause in mind, in honor of O’Toole, who passed away in 2024. “Money will be fundraised for ovarian cancer in Tiffany’s honor,” Hackett told MyRye.com. Watch it here.
