The Rye Girls Basketball team kicked off the 2026 season with a comfortable 56-21 win over Eastchester on Tuesday, December 9. The Garnets limited the home Eagles to less than six points per quarter as their season-opening road streak began in the best way possible.
Phoebe Greto individually outscored Eastchester with 23 points. She was joined in double figured by Charlotte Storz (11 points) and Frankie Chiaravalle (10 points). Head Coach Margo Hackett relied on three of her best returning veterans to carry the load offensively, which worked well on a night where the defense was at its best.
Rye (1-0) will look for another victory in game two of the road trip, set for Thursday, December 11, at 4:30pm at Harrison. Watch it here.
