The Rye Girls Basketball team refuses to lose, as they won their tenth straight game to open the 2026 season on Wednesday, January 7. The Garnets completely negated Ardsley’s offense in a 45-16 win over the Panthers, their ninth of the year away from home.
Head Coach Margo Hackett called the effort a “complete team win,” on Thursday, which included three Garnets reaching double figures in the scoring column. Annie Toulouse, Stella Maresca, and Charlotte Storz shared a three-way tie for the team lead with ten points apiece. The depth was crucial on a rare night where Phoebe Greto did not lead Rye in scoring.
Rye moves to 10-0, with a 5-0 record in true road games and a 4-0 mark when playing at a neutral site. They finally have a homestand coming up, which begins on Monday, January 12.
