The Rye Girls Basketball team delivered their fifteenth win of the season on Monday, February 2, as they outscored Yorktown 55-40. The Garnets have now won consecutive games after their win over Eastchester on senior night and improve to 15-2 on the year.
Rye’s victory was fueled by depth scoring, as four unique shooters made it into double figures despite the team scoring 55 points. Senior Phoebe Greto paced the Garnets with 16, and Charlotte Storz extended her streak of 10+ points with 14 more. Stella Maresca and Frankie Chiaravalle both scored eleven apiece in four quarters of play.
Rye (15-2) has a week off before their next contest at home against Fox Lane on Monday, January 9, at 5:00pm.
