
The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 is out. The council will hold its regular meeting at The Osborn.
The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 1310 (formerly 75) and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive). The city council publishes its office hours on the City website.
Let’s check the batting order and highlights from the five agenda items.
New (-ish) Rye Mayor Josh Nathan will deliver his first State of the City address at the council meeting. The annual tradition was suspended during COVID. Immediate past Mayor Josh Cohn delivered an “annual” message in January 2020, and then held off until a March 2025 update.
Before the speech, the council will address a brief consent agenda.

- (Jon) Hamm’ing it Up on Purdy Avenue. Consideration of a request from Apple Studios, LLC, to use portions of Purdy Avenue and City parking spaces to film an episode of Your Friends & Neighbors in Rye on May 14, 2026, from 7 AM to 8 PM.
- Castle on the Rise. Resolution authorizing the City Manager to transfer $154,000 from Rye Golf Club’s Reserve Account to the Rye Golf Club’s Designated Project Account to support the replacement of the passenger elevator at Whitby Castle.
The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 8:00pm for a public session at City Hall.
