The Rye Boys Lacrosse team relentlessly defeated Pelham 14-7 on Tuesday, April 21, winning their fourth consecutive game. The Gartnets were able to empty their bench in the fourth quarter after dominating the run of play from the second quarter onward.
“We got off to a slow start but we picked it up and started to play our game in the second quarter,” Head Coach Jeremy Guski told MyRye.com. “Then we were able to get everyone some game action in the fourth quarter. It was a nice team win.”
Will Niejadlik, Henry Shoemaker, and Henry Gilroy all scored hat tricks and combined for three assists to account for most of the Rye offense. Defender Max Niejadlik and freshman Johnny Shoemaker scored their first goals of the season, and Thomas Goldszer and Charlie Brady both tallied as well.
The Garnets (5-2) have a chance to win their fifth consecutive game on Thursday, April 23, against Horace Greeley. The home game begins at 6:00pm and can be viewed here.
