The Rye Girls Golf team picked up their fourth win of the season on Wednesday, April 15, as they defeated Edgemont 246-275. The Garnets built an early lead and continued to gradually added onto it across the course at Sunningdale Community College to pull away.

“Seniors Phoebe [Lee], Anna [Bancroft] and Tori [Hobbins] all played well for Rye,” Head Coach Rich Savage told MyRye.com. “Iciar [Garate] improved on her play and Elle [Ridley] finished with a score of 49.”

Rounding out the starting lineup, sophomore Leila Kubursi paced all golfers on the two teams with a medalist score of 41. All six starters contributed to a comfortable team victory on the first half of a back-to-back scenario for Savage and his club.

The Garnets (4-1) finish off the back-to-back with a massive home match against Scarsdale at 4:30pm today, April 16, at Rye Golf Club.
