Sienna Giese etched her name into Rye YMCA History during the Connecticut YMCA State Championships from March 28-29, becoming the program’s first gymnast to achieve a perfect 10. Giese, who competes on floor, recorded the ultra-rare perfect score to claim first place at the championship meet at Level 2.

Right behind Giese, Rye YMCA’s Sloane Stein scored a 9.8, good for first place in many circumstances. However, she had to settle for second thanks to Giese’s 10/10. Rye occupied the top two spots on the podium.
