The Rye Baseball team earned their third consecutive win on Friday, May 1, winning 14-3 at Eastchester. The Garnets, who started the year scoring 10+ runs regularly, finally broke through with double-digits again after several games of less offensive production.
Ben Fineberg had one of his best fames of the season, homering and doubling as part of a 3-4 day with four runs batted in. Luke Ontaneda also drove in four runs to tie for the team lead. Nolan Hutson reached base in every at bat, going 3-3 with three steals. Jamie Morris and Jackson Pineault recorded two RBIs apiece at the center of the lineup, and Harry Ellis was one of many to knock a double.
Rye (11-5) has suddenly won three consecutive games after losing three in a row, as their streaky year continues. The Garnets will try to stay hot in their next matchup against Mahopac later today, Saturday 5/2, at 1:00pm. It is the first of three straight home games for Head Coach Michael Bruno and his squad.
